Soomda Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Triggger (hereinafter “Company”) and users regarding the use of Soomda service (hereinafter “Service”) provided by the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)
① “Service” refers to the mindfulness and emotion recording application “Soomda” provided by the Company and all related services.
② “User” refers to members and non-members who receive services provided by the Company according to these Terms.
③ “Memory Orb” refers to virtual goods purchased within the Service to use paid features such as AI response generation.
④ “Content” refers to all information including emotion records, letters written by users during service use, and AI responses and generated images.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)
① The Company will post these Terms within the Service or on connected screens for easy access by users.
② The Company may amend these Terms as necessary within the scope not violating relevant laws.
③ When amending the Terms, the Company will notify users of the effective date and reasons for amendment within the Service from 30 days before the effective date until the day before.
Article 4 (Formation of Service Agreement)
① The service agreement is formed when a user agrees to these Terms, applies for service use, and the Company accepts such application.
② The Company accepts user applications for service use in principle. However, the Company may not accept or may terminate the service agreement for applications that:
- Use another person’s name
- Provide false information or fail to provide required information
- Violate these Terms of Service
Article 5 (Provision and Modification of Services)
① The Company provides the following services:
- Breathing meditation guide
- Emotion recording and storage
- AI-based emotion response service (paid)
- Emotion history management
- Any other services provided to users through additional development or partnerships
② The Company may change service content and will notify users of changes through service announcements.
Article 6 (Service Fees and Payment)
① Basic features of the Service are provided free of charge, but some features such as AI response generation can be used by purchasing Memory Orbs.
② Memory Orb purchases are made through App Store in-app payments, and payment and refund policies follow the respective platform’s policies.
③ Purchased Memory Orbs can only be used within the Service and cannot be refunded as cash.
④ Memory Orb prices may change according to Company policy and will be announced in advance.
Article 7 (Privacy Protection)
① The Company strives to protect users’ personal information and complies with relevant laws including privacy protection laws.
② Detailed information about the Company’s personal information processing is outlined in the separate Privacy Policy.
③ Users’ emotion records and letter content are stored encrypted and can only be viewed by the users themselves.
Article 8 (User Obligations)
Users must not engage in the following activities:
- Registering false information during application or modification
- Stealing others’ information
- Modifying information posted by the Company
- Transmitting or posting information (computer programs, etc.) other than those designated by the Company
- Infringing on intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
- Damaging the reputation or disrupting the business of the Company or third parties
- Other illegal or improper activities
Article 9 (Content Management)
① Rights to original content such as emotion records and letters written by users belong to the users.
② However, copyright for AI-generated responses, images, and other content belongs to the Company, and the Company may use them for service improvement and promotional purposes.
③ The Company will not disclose users’ personal emotion records or letter content without user consent.
④ The Company may anonymize user data for AI learning to improve the Service.
Article 10 (Service Interruption)
① The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:
- Unavoidable circumstances such as maintenance of service equipment
- When users interfere with the Company’s business activities
- When normal service use is hindered due to power outages, equipment failures, or traffic overload
- Other force majeure events such as natural disasters or national emergencies
② The Company will notify users 30 days in advance if intending to terminate the Service.
Article 11 (Disclaimers)
① The Company is exempt from responsibility for service provision if unable to provide services due to natural disasters or equivalent force majeure.
② The Company is not responsible for service usage disruptions due to user fault.
③ The Company is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of information, materials, or facts posted by users in relation to the Service.
④ AI-generated responses are for reference only and cannot replace professional psychological counseling or medical advice.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution)
① Lawsuits regarding disputes between the Company and users shall be filed in courts with jurisdiction under civil procedure law.
② Laws of the Republic of Korea apply to lawsuits between the Company and users.
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms are effective from August 8, 2025.
